# paymentMethodInitializeTokenization Mutation

Tokenize payment method.

Requires the AUTHENTICATED\_USER permission.

Triggers the following webhook events:

-   PAYMENT\_METHOD\_INITIALIZE\_TOKENIZATION\_SESSION (sync): The customer requested to tokenize payment method.
