# ChannelUpdate Object

Update a channel.

Requires the MANAGE\_CHANNELS permission.

Requires one of the following permissions when updating only \`orderSettings\` field: \`MANAGE\_CHANNELS\` \`MANAGE\_ORDERS\`

Requires one of the following permissions when updating only \`checkoutSettings\` field: \`MANAGE\_CHANNELS\` \`MANAGE\_CHECKOUTS\`

Requires one of the following permissions when updating only \`paymentSettings\` field: \`MANAGE\_CHANNELS\` \`HANDLE\_PAYMENTS\`

Triggers the following webhook events:

-   CHANNEL\_UPDATED (async): A channel was updated.
-   CHANNEL\_METADATA\_UPDATED (async): Optionally triggered when public or private metadata is updated.
